There are a lot of Apps for children.
Having done my research individually and drive tested the Apps observing my son Oscar loving, or disliking others here is what I found. My criteria has been the following: for toddlers, good graphics, simple activities, easy navigation good pronunciation and no adds. For older children, all mentioned above plus interesting challenging games.
Summer is over and you might have practised your Spanish during a nice holiday in Spain and remembered how much fun it is to speak an other language!

From September 2014 onwards, students aged seven to 11 will be required to reach a high standard of written and spoken communication in a foreign language. Spanish is one of the most commonly chosen amongst schools.
Preparing your children towards this new requirement will not only be a big help for them at school but they will also be on the right path towards real language proficiency.
Your decision as a parent to start your children at Nanos and your support at home can make the difference between being stuck in a beginners level forever or reaching advanced levels in time to make the most of this terrific skill in college and in the work place .
Nanos’ program was born on the believe that we should do our best for our children, taking full advantage of their innate ability to learn languages.
Classes are aimed for 1 to 3 year olds. They are active, interactive, and include a mixture of body and movement related exercises, games, songs and educational activities; all aimed to develop not only the linguistic competence of the children but also other key areas of their development.
When I first started designing my Nanos Spanish programme the two most important things that I needed to put across were: the importance of introducing languages at an early age and the positive effect that parents can have acting as “language speakers” role models to their children as well as facilitators of the language in extended contexts.
This is why we believe that our Nanos e-learning sections at our website will complement our classes.
A lot of the parents attending our Nanos Spanish classes are willing to speak a little Spanish to their children even when it is not their native language or they are learning themselves, I can assure you, your efforts will be so worth it.
The benefits of learning another language are multiple and well researched but if I had to choose one I would say that if anything, learning a second language is a brain workout. “Learning and practising something, for instance a second language, strengthens the brain,” said Ping Li, professor of psychology, linguistics and information science and technology . “Like physical exercise, the more you use specific areas of your brain, the more it grows and gets stronger.”
So here is a little help for all of you that are enjoying with your little ones the fascinating journey of learning an other language.
